Our cottages are beautifully appointed with refinished wood floors and highlighted with furniture handmade from driftwood collected from the beach only 50 feet away. Each has its own deck with stunning and unobstructed views of the water, with patio seating and gas BBQ. Cozy down-filled comforters are designed to snuggle you while you drift off to sleep to the sounds of the surf.
We have five cottages to choose from:
Beach House 1 has three bedrooms and easily sleeps eight.
Beach House 2 is divided into three separate cottages, each with its own entrance, private deck/patio, bathroom and other facilities. (At one time these cottages were rented year round as private residences). Crow's Nest & Bay View are both one bedroom cottages that can comfortably sleep up to four people. Tide View is an open concept cottage suitable for a couple or a small family (all in the same room).
The Little Cottage of Margaretsville is a free standing open concept cottage suitable for a couple or small family.
All of our cottages are complete homes away from home - everything you need for your holiday accommodation is provided. Each has its own fully equipped kitchen (full size fridge, electric range, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, even spices). All linens and towels are provided, and complimentary laundry facilities are available on site. All have telephones, VCRs, and satellite television service - complete with the Super Duper Sports Package. Our goal is that you are able to simply show up in Margaretsville with your clothes and food and step in to a fabulous vacation.

The Beach House
Our three bedroom beach house can easily sleep eight. The house has two floors. Upstairs there are two spacious queen bedrooms, and a 3 piece bath (w/ shower). There is a third bedroom downstairs with a double bed and a single day bed in the same room. In the reading room there is a double-size futon that serves as a couch by day and extra bed by night. There is a large living room with plenty of couch space to lounge on, a dining area, and kitchen and second 3 piece bath (w/ tub). Nearly every room looks out on an absolutely stunning panoramic view of the Bay of Fundy, the Margaretsville wharf and beach 50 feet away, and waterfalls tumbling from the bluffs to the shore. Big glass doors exit from the dining area onto the huge deck where there is plenty of seating and a gas grill.
The Crow's Nest
The Crow's Nest is a one bedroom cottage spread out over two levels which sleeps four. The master bedroom (with queen size bed) occupies the first floor, along with the kitchen and three piece bathroom. There is a sitting room with a double size futon (couch by day, bed by night) located on the second floor, affording extra privacy for sleeping. The real charm in this unit lies in its "crow's nest" deck perched on the roof top affording the most magnificent, unobstructed view of both the sunrise and sunset, the beach, wharf, and Margaretsville's lighthouse.
Bay View
Bay View Cottage is spacious and truly romantic. The unit is all on one level and is also wheelchair accessible. The large master bedroom (with queen size bed) looks out on the Bay and the sounds of the surf will lull you to sleep. Rich wooden floors and antiques grace its interior. The views from every window are outstanding. It has a large living area with double futon, comfy chairs and dining area. The fully equipped kitchen and four piece bath give you all the "comforts of home" after your day relishing or challenging the elements. Walking out the patio doors onto the deck allows you to take in all of the Bay shoreline, complete with waterfalls tumbling from the bluffs onto the beach below.
Tide View
Tide View Cottage is right at sea level with the high tide lapping the shore just a few meters from the patio. This cozy cottage is a couple's delight - an open floor plan suite with queen size bed, double futon (couch by day, bed by night as needed), kitchen, dining area, and three piece bathroom. Its two large picture windows provide a panoramic view of the Bay of Fundy and the sense that you really couldn't (or wouldn't want to) be any closer to the water.
The Little Cottage of Margaretsville
The Little Cottage is a free standing cottage set back further from the water (about 250 feet as opposed to 50 feet from the shore) and is not directly on the water like the other cottages - splendid water views, but from a distance. It is small, 400 sq feet and quite cozy. It is an open floor plan layout - in the main section of the cottage is the queen bedroom and off to the side the small yet still fully equipped kitchen. The three piece bath is off this main section. There is a step down to an enclosed sun porch with windows all around (facing west, affording fabulous sunset views) and this area has a little table for dining. There are two single futons in this room, couches for reading and lounging on by day, beds by night if needed. (Please note: the Little Cottage has basic cable TV service instead of satellite.)
Whichever beach house you decide upon, all are guaranteed to have the flavour of the beach!
